About the Class

​

This weekly class is ideal for those who would like the opportunity to learn or develop a range of basic clay skills. Booking for either 5 or 10 weeks means you get the opportunity to learn a range of skills and also see a project through from beginning to end. It is ideal for the complete novice and for intermediate potters alike, as Cáit likes to provide personal tuition for all who come to enable them to achieve . After a demonstration by Cáit, most beginners usually achieve 2 pots they're happy with during the class. Your pots will be fired and ready to collect up to two weeks after the course, see below for further details.

 

Materials included

 

All the clay (we use studio-white earthenware) you'll need, all necessary tools and equipment, a poncho-style apron and towels are all provided. You just need to bring yourself and clothes and shoes you don't mind getting messy in. Up to three pots will be fired once. Add £10 for up to 3 pots to get glazed in blue, green or white.

Mondays: 10am - 12noon

Wednesdays: 6pm - 8pm (1-to-2 sessions only)

Fridays: 10am - 12noon or 1pm - 3pm

About the Teacher

​

Cáit graduated from Ceramics at Glasgow School of Art in 2006. She has been teaching pottery regularly since 2017. She loves the opportunity to share her passion for clay and help others have the opportunity to get their hands on a pottery wheel and learn the skills needed to create their own pottery.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund can only be given within 14 days from the initial date of booking. You can reschedule your class provided I am given at least 7 days notice before your class date. Regrettably, I am unable to change any bookings if LESS than 7 days notice is given.
