About the party

Cáit can provide bespoke pottery party experiences to suit the interests of you and your friends (6 person minimum, 10 person maximum) to help mark a special birthday, or Hen Do with girlfriends. Choose from one of the following: Animal, Food or Character themes, and learn how to make Dishes, Lanterns, Boxes with Lids and more.

For some lighthearted fun, you will first have the chance to try your hand on one of two potters' wheels in a pottery-wheel relay-race (demonstration and assistance provided!)

Afterwards you will each have the chance to create and decorate your own clay item using 'hand-building' techniques. A demonstration will be provided at the beginning and support and assistance throughout. Simple projects (i.e. dishes and flat hanging items) can be completed in about an hour. However, for more complex makes (i.e. lanterns and boxes), please allow at least 1.5 - 2 hours to successfully complete your masterpiece!

Depending on which items you choose to create, the total party-time required will be around 2 - 3 hours, Cáit can plan to suit your requirements.

Your work will be fired and ready to collect from Cáit's studio @ The Base, Greenham, two weeks after the party.

Materials included

Each person will be provided with a poncho-style apron, as much (studio-white earthenware) clay as you need, a wide range of non-toxic glaze and underglaze colours, all necessary tools, brushes, sponges, tubs, as well as a wash station. Their work will get fired in a kiln and be ready to collect from Cáit's studio two weeks after the date of the party.

What's not included
